- Successfully represented clients in family law matters involving child custody, access, and maintenance disputes, securing favourable outcomes while upholding the best interests of the child as the paramount consideration. Advised individuals on estate planning, including the preparation of wills and structuring & incorporation of family trusts for succession planning and asset protection, and handled divorce proceedings as well as matrimonial property disputes.
- Successfully acted for an insurance company in a declaratory (disclaimer) suit concerning breach of policy terms by the insured, obtaining a favourable judgment affirming the insurer’s right to repudiate liability and limiting exposure under the policy.
- Successfully represented a medical practitioner in disciplinary proceedings before the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) and before the High Court, securing a determination of no professional liability.
- Successfully defended an accused persons in criminal proceedings including on allegations of obtaining money by false pretence, obtaining favourable outcomes of acquittal and/or convictions on a lesser charge.
- Advised and appeared alongside clients in complex dispute resolution processes, including mediation, negotiation, and arbitration, consistently achieving commercially viable outcomes and reinforcing the strategic use of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms.
- Represented employers and employees in a range of employment and labour disputes, including claims for wrongful termination and unfair dismissal, providing strategic legal advice, and supporting favourable dispute resolution outcomes.
- Successfully acted for societies and community groups in environmental and land use disputes, challenging developments undertaken in contravention of applicable planning and regulatory frameworks and without adequate public participation and obtaining orders stopping such developments pending compliance with statutory requirements.
